“SHOCK TIMER”

In-Transit Shipping Monitor
From IST Corp.

“Shock-Timer” a new, low cost product that documents the time of accidents or excessive handling while a product is in-transit. The one-time use product is now being introduced by Instrumented Sensor Technology, Inc. (IST) of Okemos, MI……the leading designer and manufacturer of portable data recorders for dynamic environments.

The product’s Time-Stamped impact information may be used as documented evidence to assign liability for in-transit damage. This same information can also be used to discover how or why there is damage to products during shipping. This information can lead to corrective action that helps eliminate shipping damage and lowers shipping costs.

“Shock Timer” is so affordable it may be cost effective to use the product for evaluating large scale sampling of shipping alternatives or various package designs. “Shock Timer” can be easily placed on a shipping container or product to record time of impact during transit. Three levels of G-trip impact are available. The self-contained, battery operated unit has a four month battery life and six month shock stamp retention.
