IST Awarded US Patent

For Recording Physical Variables

Of Transient Acceleration Events

 

Gregory D. Hoshal, President of Instrumented Sensor Technology (IST) of Okemos, MI was recently awarded a US Patent for the “Method and Apparatus for Recording Physical Variables of Transient Acceleration Events”. The patent covers the design and function of an acceleration recorder and related method of monitoring, discriminating, and recording acceleration events only when the acceleration and calculated velocity change both exceed selected trigger values. This patented recording methodology is implemented in the company’s SnapShock-Plus™ series acceleration data recorder products. The patent application was filed on January 14, 1998.
